What is a A5 Chord?
This Chord is made up of three musical note, a combination of two root notes with its 5th note (E). This is one of the most important chords of the same scale. It is less used chord compared to other chords of its family-like major, minor, 7th, etc.

In the above image, we clearly understand that 1st note is the root note of the Scale and its 5th note is E so to form this Chord we have to play two root note with its 5th note E.
Difference with Power Chord
Basically, this is 3note chord and its power chord is a two-note chord.
To play this chord we need three string or note as root not, 5th note and another root note. while in power chord only two strings or notes be played as root note and its 5th note

Open Position
This is the easiest shape in its
2nd fret Position
This is another version of this Chord on the 2nd fret. This shape is a little bit tough to play properly because of its distance between the 2nd fret and 5th fret. Keep 4th string open then with your 1st finger on the 2nd fret of both 3rd and 4th string.
This is almost same as previous chord. To play this Chord, place your 1st finger on 2nd fret of the 3rd string, place your little finger/4th finger on the 5th fret of both 2nd and 1st string.
5th position
In this position 1st finger on the 5th fret of 6th string, 3rd finger on the 7th fret of 5th string and 4th finger on the 7th fret of 4th string Rest all strings not to be played.
7th fret Position
In this position, on the 7th fret place your 1st finger for 4th string, with your 3rd finger on the 9th fret of 3rd string and 4th finger on the 10th fret of 2nd string.
12th fret Position
To play this Chord on the 12th fret the same as its open position. To play this Chord, place the 1st finger on the 12th fret of the 5th string, 3rd finger on the 14th fret of 4th string.
