Warm-up exercises and stretching your fingers.

Just like an athlete, a guitar player must warm up before playing gigs, songs, etc. These are all chromatic warm-ups and exercises. Please remember to alternate picks and use a metronome.

Repeat this pattern all the way up to the 12th fret position. Great Exercise to Loosen Up.

All of these Exercises Play all the way up the guitar neck to the 12th fret, then try playing each pattern backwards and go back to the starting position. Remember, always use a metronome, starting slowly and gradually building up your speed. After all these stretching and exercises, your hands should be ready to rock.
